BDS Outreach

Outreach Program is a Sri Balambika Divya Sangam Trust initiative. Balambika Divya Sangam Trust is a religious charitable trust founded in 2010. It was formed for few straight reasons

1. To carry out community development programs in rural and semi urban areas
2. Encouraging cultural and sports activities in rural schools
3. Creating awareness about education, healthcare and environmental issues among children

BDS is a grass root level organization working for the integrated development of Children. We are a team of young people who have a passion for social service and compassion towards the disadvantaged section of the society.

The entire vision for BDS Outreach revolves around the three 3 basic necessities for mankind which are Bhojana (Food), Svasthya (Health) and Shiksha (Education). In each of these tenets, BDS has been carefully focusing on setting up programs and providing service. Through the Breakfast Meal program, BDS supplies 4000+ freshly baked buns to 300+ children across 5 Govt schools.

On the aspects of Svasthya, BDS has set up a free Ayurvedic Clinic called Sri Balambika Ayur Care and has been providing free Ayurvedic Treatment & Medicines for people in and around Malur. BDS also initiated mass distribution of masks during peak Covid crisis and spread awareness about Covid.

On the aspect of Shiksha, BDS has been doing extensive work on complementing our current English education system through activity and game-based programs such as Health & Hygiene, Reading Club, Homework Club and Literary activities. BDS also runs various School Sponsorships programs across the year - such as donating school bags, study desks, toys and learning aids to adopted schools around Malur.

Thanks to the constant guidance and vision from our beloved BDS president Smt. Asha Manoharan, strong support from our BDS members, sponsors and volunteers who over the years have become our pillars of strength. While we have had a humble beginning and have miles to go, we are very happy and feel blessed to be part of this beautiful family called BDS.
