Sri Balambika

Sri Bala Tripurasundari is the child form of Sri Lalitha Tripurasundari. Her mantra provides a shishya’s entry into Srividya. The Lalithopankhya states that Sri Bala is a nine year old form of Sri Lalitha Devi and stays with her mother at all times, as she is a manifestation of Lalita Tripura Sundari devi.
In Bala Tripurasundari Moolamantram, she is decribed as the divine combination of wisdom of Goddess Saraswati, magnetic energy of Goddess Maha Kali and the prosperity of Lalitha Tripura Sundari.

What is unique about this temple?

Balambika's temple is special in the following ways:

  • It is the first Shakti temple to have only female deities
  • It is a temple designed like a chariot
  • It is a temple primarily for children, especially a girl child who is regarded as kanya or bala
  • Every year, "Akshara Abhyasam" will be initiated for children between the ages of 4 and 5 years
  • This temple will be the epitome of Hindu culture, traditions and literature

Balambika's Moolamantram

Meaning: Sri Bala’s moolamantram (basic hymns) is the panacea to all modern worldly problems. It is simple and has 3 words. The first word Aiym is in lieu of goddess Saraswathi or learning, the 2nd word “Kleem” in lieu of Maha kali or magnetic appeal and the 3rd word “Sow” in lieu of Sri Lalitha Parameswari or prosperity.

“Aiym Kleem Sow
Sow, Kleem, Aiym"

When you chant the moolamanthram (the moolamantram should be got from a Guru) Sri Balambika is around you. When you recite her name “Bala”, She is at your beck and call - instantly with you. Without participating in Sri Balambika’s ritual, Sri Vidhya upasana doesn’t reach its culmination. The chanting of this moolamantram brings innate power, popularity and peace of mind. Whenever you chant the Moolamantra even without knowing the meaning of it, that itself carries power. But when you know the meaning and chant with that feeling in your heart then the energy would flow million times more powerful. Therefore, it is essential to know the meaning of the Mantra when you use it.
